Quickly becoming my favorite EDC with a coat.

Keep it loaded with 45 Colt, with 2 Moon Clipped 45 ACP reloads.

Grip shape fits my hand nicely, but added a couple ranger bands to help it stick in place.

Fiber Optic sights really pop.

Man, that is a nice gun. The versatility of being able to use so many .45 caliber rounds makes it even better.

Thanks, and yes the versatility is nice. It shoots 45 ACP, 45 ACP+P, 45 Super, 460 Rowland, 45 Schofield, and 45 Colt.

Very nice looking revolver. This may be a question for Whit, but are they built to withstand a constant diet of full strength .45 Colt loads?

You bet they can! I'll let others confirm this too.

It's a Redhawk. Supposed to be stronger than the SBH's. It will take the +P loads with ease. I wouldn't mind owning one, but in 45 Colt specifically.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Did some more off hand practice at varying distances today. The groups at 10 yards were the better ones. Still working on the heavy Double Action trigger pull. Did some strong / weak hand and reload drills as well. The ugly ranger bands really help when shooting with one hand.

I have both of those. Nice choices.

spotted a 45 colt only with a rubber grip in a gun shop this last weekend - lightly used for $500 it was all i could do to keep from buying it. I want to stick with 44 mag i think so i only have to run one ammo for both belt gun and scoped gun.

I tried that concept too, once, but I'm to weak and caved into the lure of big bore 45's that can also shoot the cheaper 45 ACP. I also have my Goldiloks Blackhawk Convertible.
