I like the holster I have but would like to use a sling sometimes with the way I hunt. Any ideas. What brand where to get them.

i work in a gun shop in s.e.mn ,we have set up a few sbh with slings by drill and tap a stud into the bottom of the grip frame and putting a propper sized bbl band just in front of the ejector rod housing.
p.s.put elec. tape on the bbl sticky side out then mount bbl band than trim tape so the bbl band will not scratch the bbl.

On my SBH I have sling swivel studs on the grip frame and on the barrel. Using the sling becomes very easy. If you use deadeye's suggestion, the electrical tape is a great idea, cuz those barrel bands have a tendency to slip. Wouldn't want to mar the finish.

Send it to Magnaport and let them install studs in the barrel & grip frame.

Electrical tape sticky side up? Nah, mount the barrel band just tight enough to stay on, surround with "no-residue" masking tape, remove barrel band, then apply light coat of contact cement meant for leather work to barrel and inside of barrel band. When cement is dry to touch, carefully put back on and tighten screws. Don't forget the lock-tite. Mine haven't slipped in over 8 years.

Hawkeye,
Whatever you decide to do, I'd like it if you posted a picture of your end result. You've got to love those SBH Hunters. In .44 cal. makes it even better.

THANKS,

Hawkeye---I just purchased an 8" colt anaconda in realtree camo with swivel studs and a sling on it. The studs are drilled/tapped in the grip frame and the ejector shroud. Like Gary said, send it to magnaport or find a GOOD gunsmith and have it done.
