Rough Country adjustable rear sights are one of the finest designed rear sight assemblies to be had for a hunting handgun. I have one on my S&W 657 and had one on my 475 five shot. When you develop a handload that shoots straight and then adjust the sight and lock it in, you have a rear sight that`s not far from a fixed.
BUT, if you develop some new handloads and want to resight I found then its more then my eyes care for. First you loosen the elevation set screw to raise/lower the sight and then to adjust for windage there are to opposing set screws that you loosen to move the sight blade left or right...All of this had me change the Bowan for a w/o Millet that functions as any adjustable rear sight..I will be shooting test loads with 275gr Speer and Barns bullets and the single windage screw adjustable Millet will make the sight in process much easier for ME to get on target...Please remember that I`am not saying the Millet is better then the Bowan...only that its easier for ME to work with.... James I agree the Rough Country is a pain to change the sight settings. I prefer the Bowen rear sight with the click adjustments. I also have a Rough Country rear but I wish I had went with the click adjustable rear.

I HAVE BOTH BOWEN REAR SIGHTS ON REVOLVERS, THE REGULAR TARGET 1 IS PRETTY SOLID WITH VERY FINE CLICK ADJUSTMENTS, WHILE THE ROUGH COUNTRY IS A SET IT AND FORGET IT TYPE SIGHT. DEPENDS WHAT YOU WANT AND WHAT YOU MAY BE DOING WITH THAT PARTICULAR REVOLVER. ONCE I FIND A LOAD THAT SHOOTS IN A REVOLVER, AND WORKS ON GAME, I PRETTY MUCH STICK WITH IT. SINCE I MOSTLY SHOOT 45 COLT REVOLVERS, AND HAVE MORE THAN A FEW, I HAVE OTHER OPTIONS BESIDES RESIGHTING A REVOLVER THAT IS ALREADY SET UP AND SIGHTED IN. FOR 44 MAG CLASS LOADS AND BELOW THE REGULAR BOWEN SIGHT SHUD BE FINE.

You shoot what you can see the best, and from here that Millet looks mighty fine!!! As our eyes change so does everything else and if you can't see the sights you ain't going to hit much!

Appreciate the offer but if I ever sell my Gallagher I will reinstall the Bowan to bring it to its original state.... Can you imagine trying to sell a custom 475 without a Rough Country rear??

Had a Rough Country for a while on the Power #5, but I tinker with loads too much. Probably would work well for those that can settle on one load. Did I mention I tinker with loads TOO much?

I am going to purchase a few target adjustable rear sights from LPA. I will get the stainless-body adjustable target rear sight for my two stainless X-frame revolvers. The sight itself and the adjustment area are blued or blackened.
I will also get a target rear adustable sight for my 329PD. The front sight on the 329PD will be a big dot with tritium core affair. The 329PD will be my EDC and Concealed Carry defense revolver. I am switching the titanium cylinder out with one made of stainless steel, so I might get the same stainless body rear sight for my 329PD to create a complementary area of stainless on the gun.

I will and thanks for the interest. A search for a 329PD with stainless steel cylinder will bring up a You-Tube that shows a guy from Missouri with a set-up like I am doing. My cylinder is from Brownell's and is a 629 stainless steel fluted model. The guy from Missouri has a solid unfluted stainless cylinder on his 329PD. He got his from Midway I believe.
