BADUBET: OOOPS, NO PICTURES, JUST THAT "IMG" BS. IS IT THE SAME GUN YOU HAD ON THE BRAGGING BOARD?

"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

BADUBET: PREVIEW YOUR POST AFTER YOU TYPE IN AN "IMG", IF NO PICTURE SHOWS UP THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE "IMG" INFO.

Great looking revolver!

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

BADUBET: DID YOU COMMISSION BOWEN TO BUILD IT? OR DID YOU BUY IT USED? OR WHAT? IF YOU HAD IT BUILT, HOW LONG DID IT TAKE AND WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE 500 LINEBAUGH?

Thanks KRal for posting the picture.
45Man, I commissioned the build. Took about 3 months I guess from the time I got him a good donor gun. The first one I sent him had a few issues and he advised I start with a better example. So I lost a month getting it back and buying another and sending it to him.
I chose the 500L because I think the cost (fatigue) on the shooter is better long term for wear and tear. I have a heavy 45, 454 Casull, 475L, and a few 500L. I just didn?t have a SS 500L. John Linebaugh is building me a brass grip frame 500L currently and I?m deciding if I?m going to build a 500 Maximum. After that I?m done. I promise.

I just got the Nimrod back from Rob at Rowen Custom Grips. They are made from Turkish walnut.

This sounds like a project is in order for that 500 Maximum. Yeehaw.
Rob does some fine work and one of the things I appreciate about him is the screws and escutcheons. Stainless on stainless.
hahaa I am a stickler in this area. I hate a brass escutcheon with any gun for that matter. But that is me.
Beautiful gun here. Turkish walnut also, on my 44 mag. I like the polished cylinder contrast.
Good luck on this next project.
