Is anyone from here planning to attend this years HHC 4-7 Oct? It's held in Monterey, TN at the Wilderness Hunting Lodge.

Not sure what you're meaning by this; did you mean YO ranch?

I've been to the HHC two years in row now and have had an excellent time and met some great people from all across the US. If you're able to attend, I'd suggest giving it a try.

This is the critters I've taken so far at the HHC....

What is the challenge part?
Shooting comp from field shooting positions under time with targets the size of big game vitals?

Not sure why it's named that. I guess it could be because handgun hunting is a challenge. It's not a competition in any way. Just a gathering for like minded hunters.

Well....I'll be headed out early in the morning. Ready for the first hunt of the year. Should be a great time. Weather forecast is not idea (hot and rainy), but it's still better than being at work and dry. Hopefully I'll be posting some pics soon.

I wanted to go but just too busy and short handed at work. Good luck!

KRAL: IF GARY REEDER LAYS OUT A BUNCH OF "GOODIES" PLEASE TAKE AND POST PICTURES. GARY ALWAYS TOOK A BUNCH OF NEAT GUNS TO THE YO HUNT.

"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

Rey,

Gary did bring lots of guns and goodies, but the lighting was so bad in the lodge, I didn't fool with taking pictures. I'm back now, so pics and story to come shortly in new thread.
