Thanks for the kind words Gents - and thanks Darrell. I'll have to admit, I'm having too much fun with this Nosler. The gator was 10 ft. 1 inch long. It was a pleasant change from the mountains.

That looks like a dang THICK gator! The first thing I thought when I saw the thread title was, "That's a big swing from sheep hunting!". Then I thought it was a strange application for a bolt action specialty pistol in 6.5. But, bullet placement is everything and it looks like that was right. Congratulations on another unique and admirable trophy.

Nice conctrats mark! I just shot one of those M48s in the new 22 nosler. What a blast on the wish list in 6.5 or 7mm 08 for sure!

I was talking with Mark at the Range yesterday. I see why he skipped having it stuffed at the price they charge to do it.
The cost of stuffing a gator would fund another out of state hunting trip.
I am more impressed with Marks M48 every time I am around it.
