So after years of contemplating converting my Springfield XD 5" 45acp to the 460 Rowland I finally did it. Ordered the kit and two boxes of the 255 gr hardcast ammo at 1300 fps. Was skeptical of accuracy claims but no longer. This thing is scary accurate. Thinking of sending the slide out to have it machined for a red dot like the delta point or trijicon. At 15 yards free hand this thing is eating the 1" center out of the target. At 25 yards supported its doing the same. Possibly the most accurate handgun I've shot outside my single shots. Recoil is on par with a stout 180 hardcast 357 mag. So not much in the recoil department. Very quick follow up shots. Could actually shoot it in USPSA matches if so inclined. Will be taking it out for a test drive this deer season if there's anything left of my farm after Hurricane Florence finishes grinding away on us here in eastern NC. Been at ground zero for past 20 hours with no let up in sight. Keep us in your prayers, over the next few days.

Here in Statesville NC we are praying for our brothers and sisters in the eastern part of the state. We are suppose to get 10 or 12 inches ourselves.

Prayers for all. Congrats on the Rowland. Mine is uncannily accurate.

I have picked out a 6" diameter rock and lasered it at 176 yards and put a whole magazine on it.

Tip my hat to you, Sir.

I sold my G20C cause I got to where I couldn't hit a thing with it. That kind of accuracy wasn't in the Glock platform with me on the trigger.

That was a Glock with a lot of money poured in it. About the only thing left of the original is the slide and frame.

Update. Sorry this should have been in the shooting section. My apologies. Reflex, what rear sight is that? That's my next move adding adjustable sights to the XD. Guys it's pretty bad in eastern NC. We flew several thousand pounds of relief into a small airport yesterday. The water was inches from coming up onto the runway. We offloaded into a Red Cross van and flew out ASAP. The day before we picked up some of our company employees and their families in our helicopter and brought them to safety. It's crazy. A lot of people are losing their homes and business's. my family is high and dry but most of my farm is under water and the river isn't set to crest till Saturday or Sunday. The drive home from work took 2.5 hours yesterday as I had to find away around the rising river. Most roads to my community are under water now. Keep the prayers coming for those who have been affected.
Reflex, let me know which rear sight that is.

Those are Dawsons. I use a fiber red front sight. They sell them in different heights so you can get proper adjustment with your rear. Recently I built one with fusion sights. Good read but larger red dot on front. We can move this to the shooting section.
