Between the wind blowing the worst direction possible for my two larger food plots and forcing me to marginal locations, temperatures topping out in the mid-60's, and strong, gusting winds, this weekend was a complete and total bust. I saw one deer the entire weekend, and that one was gone before legal shooting light. Can't wait for this below freezing weather to get here at the end of the week.

We pulled four cameras yesterday when checking stands. We had 3000 pictures. We had a pair of nice 8 points together, a 10 and an 11 point, and lots of smaller deer. No idea how many different 8 and 10 points we had on camera. My brother was looking through all the pictures and could tell differences in some of them.

I hope the bucks are still moving here this coming weekend. Lots of pictures over the last 90 days does not mean we will see a nice buck opening weekend.

Thanks for the support, guys. They're starting to move a little more. I almost killed one yesterday. With my truck, that is.

They're chasing here now.

The thing that is worrying me, is they have been chasing hard for over a month here. I have not been seeing many deer moving around the last week.

I have not gotten a case to transport the Encore in so far. I am seriously thinking about taking the 35 BullBerry Contender out again this season. It will need to be Zeroed. I fired a couple rounds at the range the other evening just before dark, and it was shooting about 6 Low and 6 Left. I am sure that means I swapped scopes on it and did not re-zero it last year. With the Burris 2-7 getting it back on track should only take a very few minutes.
