When cleaning your handguns what libricating oils do you use or do you use some kind of c l p? Thanks in advance folks.

3in1 Machine oil. Granddad used it. Dad used it. I've been using it for 40+ years. Never found fault or reason to change. If it is good enough for small fast moving parts on sewing machines it will do just fine for firearms. {My Grandmother treadle that was converted to electric early last century is still running in top order as well as my other Grandmothers M94 32WSP} Been around forever and still works.

Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid

I have been using a 50/50 blend of 0W40 Synthetic Motor Oil and Synthetic ATF also a 0W40 weight oil for years. My Motor Oil of choice is Royal Purple just for the color to tell it apart at a glance from my home made all purpose general cleaning fluid.

I use Shooters Choice All Weather Hi-Tech Gun Grease. It was recommended by a gunsmith friend of mine and it works very well. It stays were you put it and works well in all temp ranges. I have used on my SA and DA revolvers and my semi autos with great success. The handy syringe it comes in makes it easy to place where you want it. Just my 2 cents worth.

I am with Sawfish, I gotta check out some of that Frog lube. I have seen it in a couple of the stores here in the Pacific Northwest, and if it works as well as they are finding, that only makes sense to use it here!

White Lithium Grease has been working very well for me in all the temperatures I shoot and hunt in, and best of all, it stays in place without migrating away from where it's needed like oils can, it helps protect against rust, and it's cheap. What's not to love?

I've used Lithium Grease on my tractors for ever, and their high temp, metal to metal contact seems to do just fine with it.
