Atta boy Jim! I was wondering when this would get posted. I'm happy for you and a heckuva punch with the .357 max at 102 yards. Congrats all around.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Thanks guys, I got back a couple of hours ago, this is how it went, I hunted in ohio with Coshocton County Outfitters, for their gun week, hunters can use shotguns , muzzleloaders, and straight wall rifle calibers, of course I used handguns. Saying that , the outfitter has never had a handgun hunter in camp before, after looking at 5 different Stands I opted for a elevated box blind, its behind me in the pic with the buck, my friend Jeff was in a ladder stand 200 yards below me in a ladder stand, this lease was 145 acres bordered by public hunting ground.I had to run to town and pick up 2 seat cushions to get the elevation right to shoot off my TV tray, that?s what I use in a box blind, used one under my pack, the other to rest my elbows on, the buck came from my right , trotting into the clear cut, he slowed down for a split second, the first shot dropped him at 102 yards, hit in the front shoulder he was still moving across the cut, I shot again and missed, shooting again ......I hit him in the liver, 112 yards, he?s down for the count, text the outfitter, gather up my gear and wait, I?m looking at the buck through the scope, his head moves, and he?s trying to get up, shoot again, hit him in the chest again, finally down, the outfitter shows up, says nice buck he?s done, yeah ok, walking down to him, he?s trying to get up , ENOUGH, popped him in the neck at 25 yards, DONE DEAL, he was 205 lbs on the hoof. Day 2 I was in a ladder stand on another property 20 minutes away, at 10:30 I saw a doe 30 yards away, she was behind me and off to my right, I couldn?t get a clear shot at her with the 460, I sat there all day in the wind and snow, 26 degrees, at 4:20 a group of does showed up off to my left, kneeling down in the ladder stand and resting my forearms on the rail I found a opening and shot, she was at 55yards, pretty confident of the shot, I went to look for sighns of a hit, I had good blood, texted the outfitter, he said go after it but stay in touch, she went 60 yards and did a nose dive, in the Max I used the Hornady 200 grain FTX, the 460 I used the 200 grain FTX, I had a great hunt with great folks, the guide all the sudden was soaking me for information on handguns, and handgun hunting, told him to lurk on this site, My friend Jeff passed on 2 8 pointers, thanks James for posting pics.
