My 629 saw some action last Saturday. I was stand hunting a cornfield edge, the deer melted in its tracks, I thought I spined it, I was wrong. 59 yard shot. 240gr A-Frames. Some tenders for the freezer.

GOOD SHOT, GOOD BULLET, GOOD PERFORMANCE
"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

Good shot Curly. Do you know the velocity of your load with the A-frame?

Good shot Curly. Do you know the velocity of your load with the A-frame? I load 24gr H110. I don't have a chronograph, Hodgdon states 1522, my Speer manual states 1450, so I would have to assume it's between the two. I've seen very impressive results in accuracy and penetration. Everything I've shot expired within eye site and have blown right thru. They open up nicely.

That is a tasty kill with what seems to be a most potent load. Well done!
