I SAW SOME TREMENDOUS BUCKS SATURDAY, INCLUDING 2 PROBABLY 160+ CLASS BUCKS, AT A SOUTH TEXAS DEER LEASE, BUT I ONLY GOT A CULL TAG, THE SEASON THERE GOES TO THE END OF FEBRUARY, SO I STILL GOT TIME
"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

I'm in the same boat ... cant buy a glimpse of a shooter deer or a plain Ole Hog!!

I hunt fringe areas which were hot when bucks were looking for does in November. Here in my part of the Missouri Ozarks we had a bumper acorn crop this year. During the December Alternative Weapons Season the deer were back in the deep woods eating acorns. I did not see a single deer from a stand during the December part of the season.
