Considering a barrel for my XP made in either the 20 Vartarg or the 22 VarTarg. Anyone have any experience with these ? What's yout take ?

Steve (sscoyote) is building a 20 in a XP, but not in those cartridges. He is out of pocket now, but I would get a hold of him, as it should be finished soon.

I don't know anything about those cartridges but I should have a .20 BR AI for my Striker sometime. The fella building it is very busy and it's on the way back burner.

I have a Tactical twenty right now in a Encore and thinking of building the 20 Vartarg in a xp if I can find (afford) one..lol
20 Vartarg is built on the 221 fireball case with a 30 degree shoulder, supposed to be a excellent little cartridge running around 3800 fps max with a 36 grain bullet, and the 20 Vartarg turbo is built on the 222 case slightly shortened running about 3900 fps max with a 36 grn bullet.
Of the two my choice will be the 20 Vartarg I think it will a neat cartridge out of a XP

From what I have read and heard, the 20 VarTarg is a very accurate round and I think it would work nicely in an XP. What do you know about the 22 VarTarg, which I assume is basically a 221 Fireball Improved ?

I don't know alot about that one but your right it is a 221 fireball with a 30 degree shoulder the rest is the same. I really like the 20 cal stuff so thats why I'm leaning towards the 20 Vartarg
I found two xp's chambered in 221 fireball now just need to find the funds...lol

The 20 BR is gonna be an XP-100R for coyotes, and will be shooting the 40's and 50's-- to as far out as i can get the bullets to kill them cleanly.
