I am now the proud owner of a Ruger Single 6 in 22lr/22mag. Varmint hunting is next on the agenda. But first, a free spin pawl. Happy Hunting!

Mike that should be a good start. A 22 makes a super handgun to get in lots of trigger time with.

I think it will help with technique etc. It also helps kill time between reloading for the 454, 480 and 500 LOL.

Before deer season I normally try and wear out my 22 LR Super 14 Contender barrel. It is good practice and lots of fun to shoot Clay Birds at 100 yards, then keep breaking the pieces till none are left.

We are setting up for Steel Challenge at the Sportsman's Club. First match will be March 9th. I have my Ruger MK III in the Hospital getting a tune up. When shooting large quantities of ammunition a 22 is hard to beat.

Same thing with ICORE Revolver Practice. I do a lot of practicing with my S&W 617. Cheap to shoot, and no reloading required.

The only down side is all the Fools Gold you leave on the ground at the Range
