I have a BFR in 500 Linebaugh on order, hopefully it should be arriving next month. I was going to put an Ultra Dot Match II on it like I have on my 629, which I do like. But then I started kicking around maybe going for the Aimpoint 9000SC this time...Is it worth the extra $$?? Does anyone have experience with both that could offer some insight?? Thanks in advance...

Don't know about new Aimpoints. Used them in past on .44&.357.
I do know about UltraDots. Have them on .44, .475L, .500 S&W. Tough as nails. Never failed.

I have had an Ultradot 25 on my SRH in 454 Casull for over 6 years with ZERO issues, in fact the gun broke at about 2000 rounds and it had to go back to Ruger from some springs and such, but the scope has never failed. It has worked so well, I put one on my BFR in 500 JRH and after a few issues with the return spring that Ultradot fixed at no charge, I have been able to put about 200 full house rounds through it with no issues. From my experience, Ultradots are the way to go if you are scoping a hand cannon. Just my 2 cents Good Shooting!!

I do not have any experience with Aimpoint. UltraDots have never failed me so didn't have any reason to look further.

Great choice. I have 3. One is on my shotgun, one on my 7mm-08 Encore with 10 inch barrel. I have had zero issues with them.
