I was lucky enough to find and buy a Bog Pod PSR but don't have a tripod for it yet. I have narrowed that search down to the camo model CLD3\tactical black TAC3, both standard size and thickness, or the HD, which has 5mm thicker leg tubing. Do y'all have a preference? I will mainly use it when stationary handgun hunting, but want something I can also carry around without it becoming a burden. I believe the standard size runs 40oz. while the HD runs 56oz. Thanks!

I have both. Use the standard the most. Has held up well for 3 years. I use the heavy one when shooting my big boys. Have use the regular up to full power .454 loads without problems. Used the standard one on my longest shot-581.
Be careful with the standard when using it for a walking stick. I never put my full body weight on it. I even put it in my belt when I need both hands for carry deer meat and head. Little hard to do that with the big one.

Thanks Hitman! It'll mainly be for my Contender, which, If all goes well, will be wearing a 358 JDJ barrel before too long. It could see rifle use also, nothing too big, but the standard size seems to be fine for that as well.

I went ahead a bid on an HD3 on EBay. It?s been years since I?ve messed with that site, but I got a new one for $90. That?s about $40 less than the cheapest price I could find for that model. Thanks again for the info.
