Just curious if anyone has completed a super slam with a handgun? I searched it and couldn't find anything. I'd be surprised if Mark Hampton hasn't done it, but inquiring minds want to know.
Anyone?

Nobody has or will complete a Super Slam with a handgun because many of the animals comprising the list are only found in Canada. Polar bear, stone sheep, mountain caribou, Quebec-Labrador caribou, woodland caribou, are a few examples. I do not foresee Canada changing regulations allowing handguns in the near or distant future. It would be nice if they did.....

Thanks for the response Mark. I knew we can't legally take handguns into Canada, but I guess I figured that an outfitter might be able to line one up to 'use' while there. Admittedly, I haven't researched handgun laws in Canada, nor do I have any plans of attempting any such 'slam' feat.
So, can I assume you have a 'U.S.' Slam?

Randy, I'm not familiar with a "U.S. Slam" but I've taken most all except those living in Canada. Musk ox can only be hunted in Alaska if you're lucky enough to draw a tag. Otherwise, it's the Canadian artic or Greenland. Coues deer can be taken in AZ - if you draw a tag. A large percentage of Coues deer are taken in Mexico. Mexico is another place that frowns on handguns -- but you might get lucky and obtain a special permit.
We're fortunate to live in a country that allows handgun hunting in many states. Other countries are not so fortunate.

I apologize. My humor didn't translate. By U.S. slam, I meant all animals included in the super slam, but only those accessible in the US. Minus Canada.
Anyway, thanks for the dialogue. I'll leave you alone now.

YOU COULD DO A HECK'UVA SLAM IN TEXAS ON GAME THAT IS READILY AVAILABLE, e.g. WHITETAIL, MULE DEER, ELK, RED STAG, AXIS DEER, HOGS, NILGAI, SCMITAR ORYX, ADDAX, AOUDAD, FALLOW DEER, SIKA DEER, CORSICAN AND MOUFLON SHEEP, BLACKBUCK, IBEX,CATALINAS ... ................................................................
"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.
