I recently acquired this on Gun Broker, I dont know who did all the work on it but the hammer and trigger are like butter. Thats twelve rounds on a three inch target at 50yrd's, off the bench of course. I'm in love with Blackhawks all over again.

CUSTOM AND COSMETIC WORK ARE GREAT BUT, ALL SAID ALL DONE, THE GUN HAS GOT TO SHOOT, AND YOURS DOES.

Great addition! Now to get it bloody!

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Very nice. Does the mounting base go where the back site is normally. Does it use the rear site holes?
I really like that on your pistol. I have a Ruger Hunter in 45 LC and 44 Mag that I might try it on the 44 mag. I only hunt in an area with the 44 that I might shot at most 50 yards.

Just guessing but looks like a Weigand base?

Beautiful gun! I just got my first hunter (just a plain factory 44) a couple of months ago and am experiencing that same love affair

Mike, yes it does mount using the rear sight hole. Very easy to install, 15-20 minutes at most.

Longhunter,
One day I went to the range with my Ruger Hunter 45 Colt. It was sighted in with a Leupold 2-7X. It would put three 250 XTP's in one ragged hole off the bench at 50 yards.

The goal was to shoot three, remove the scope, install a Burris FFII & fire three more after sight-in. The result was unbelievable. No way you could tell which target was which. I left the FF II on the Ruger & that is where it'll stay.

I have an FA Model 83 45/454 too. Still would never sell my Ruger. It is a sweet shooter!
