I have a CVA Scout v2 Handgun I would like to deer hunt with this year. The barrel length is 14" and the twist is 1in10. What brand and weight of bullet works best in this gun? I know a lot of you guys have much more experience than I do and I would like your opinion.

The 6.5 Needmore with a 1:10 twist will need 130 gr. or less bullets. I'd say your #1 deer bullet would be the 120 gr. Nosler BT or 120 gr. Sierra SP GameKing (not GameChanger). Both these bullets are very soft, expand well and kill deer like crazy.
Heavier bullets like the 140 BT or 143 ELD-X(overly fragile) need 1:8 twists to stabilize better.
Good luck this year.

+1 on this !!!!!!
My fave for the 1-10 or 1-9 is the 120gr Nosler Partition.

Thanks Max and CT. That's what I was wondering about was the twist. I noticed my 243 had the same twist and that got me to thinking. I haven't shot the 6.5 but the 243 is a tack driver with 100 grain factory loads. I reload so I guess I need to find some of the bullets you guys mentioned. Thanks again.
