So I thought my battery was dead on my millet red dot. Then I noticed a weird rattling sound and the dot moves around.Not sure if I have a warranty or not. I do however have a ultra dot 25 or 2x leuapold I can put on the .357 mag for now.Going to get some quick detach rings for both to see what I like. I know it's a Matter of preference but what would you put on yours if given those choices?

I have had both on mine and settled on the ultradot.

Either should work well depending on where you hunt.
I would probably lean towards the UntraDot for close range woods hunting. The 2X Leupold might depend on just how clear it is. Some of us have some aged equipment that is not nearly as crisp and clear as new glass is. With a 2X scope that is very clear in low light either should work very well.

I started out with 2-7 Burris scopes in the 1990's hunting fields from a stand. When I started woods hunting more the last few years I went to UltraDots so that I could see the aiming point in low light hunting a wooded valley floor. I killed one of my Burris scopes and had it replaced with a new 2-7 Burris. WOW to my surprise it was much brighter than the older one's I had. You can see through it WAY Better in low light than the older models. I then started using the newer scopes more than the UltraDots. I believe I now have Three of the New Model 2-7 Burris scopes.
My last 4 barrels have been for the Encore. The Three hunting barrels all have NEW Very Clear Scopes on them that work great in low light.
Just my observations, but my point being, some older scopes are not as clear as the newer models, especially in low light situations. In dark woods a lighted Dot will trump a scope that is not very clear in low light.
