Had no problems up this way. Every now and then it will pause when changing screens within the site. Kind of like a hangfire.

I am on cable modem and it seems to be slow for me most of the time. Even after I am on the site, the yellow header takes at least 10 seconds or more to load. If I change locations using the yellow header it will take at least another 10 seconds befor the header will load. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hmmm. I'm not seeing a problem either. Is this something recent and is it consistent or sporadic?

Gary, with me it seems to be almost all the time. I think I commented on it before, but every body else said it was ok for them. So I just figured I had a problem.

It seems the yellow tool bar loads last, even after all the pics load. So you have to wait. If the tool bar loaded first, at least you could move to the next section without waiting.

It may also help if the tool bar stayed in place ounce loaded. As it is now it reloads after each action.

I don't know how all this works,so it may not be able to be changed. Just some suggestions.

I do want to Thank You for all your work you do for us. The site is the best, for handgun hunting.

Jeff

Sporadic here (DSL connection) but I see it too... Kinda like the same problem they have over at AR... I think it's an infopop issue but infopop is the best software out there.

Gary... I'd contact them and report.

I too am on cable internet and have noticed that the tool bar does take a long time to load and just as every one else has said it loads after the pictures.
This is not a real problem for me, just annoying at times

mine's working fine, but i have had problems in the past. not since the new board though, that i remember.

has everyone cleared your temporary internet files, and cleared your cookies?
also, recently, i had to delete my favorites link on my computer. then i again added it to my favorites. i guess it had some errors to the link.

I made a small change in an effort to get to the bottom of the "slowness" For those having a problem click on both of these links so the graphics load. Then after you've clicked on both at least once click again and tell me if you still see the same basic slow response.

The "Page 2" link loads much faster for me. I am connecting via my LAN that is tied directly to fiber. The "Page 1" link takes several seconds or more to load the yellow banner. The "Page 2" link loads almost instantaneously.

Page 2 loads a lot faster for me. Page 1 almost acts like it starts to load, hangs up for a little while, then finishs loading.

Gary,Thanks for all the hard work.

page 1 link was pretty slow the first time, and page 2 was some faster.
second time clicking on each did seem faster. (cable hookup)

I think the problem is the site counter and not the menubar. It could be that the number of network hops for some is excessive. This isn't going to be an easy fix. First, the counter is on every page and second, I need some sort of counter. I guess it's time I looked at a homegrown version or at least one that resides on my server. This is going to take some time to correct guys. I'll add it to my list of things to do.
