What can anyone tell me about the Burris Fastfire 2 dot sight? Up till now I have only owned and appreciated Ultradot 30mm dot scopes.

Is the Fastfire 2 suitable for heavy recoil of a 500 JRH or 50 caliber CVA Optima muzzle loader pistol?

I've owned one and sold it. Yes I think it will hold up fine on heavy recoil. Personally, I prefer a smaller MOA like the Trijicon RMR. But I also hunt primarily in Texas where our deer are more like big rabbits so a a smaller MOA dot is very helpful at distances beyond 50 yards.

The meat won't fry if the lead don't fly.
