Took the XP out to a nearby ranch and worked over a couple of ground squirrel colonys. Took some from about 20 ft to just over 200 yds.

Figure the close one was a Darwin award candidate. First he was nibbling grass instead of running, then I snapped on an empty chamber! Still nibbling, loaded gun and presented honorable squirrel with a 50 gr VMAX Darwin Award.

It was a great CA spring day and I got rid of a lot of cabin fever!

Did you get out with the guns today?

Sounds like you had fun! Say, was that an older center grip XP or an XP100R rear grip?

I love your referance to the "Darwin Award"

Been tuning and customizing some Glock hunting pistols in adition to my Contender battery, but have not taken a varmint shot in a while Will see what this week brings

Fun, yes indeed!

The XP is a center grip and the only alterations are an after market stock and the removal of the safety.

It seemed that this squirrel was destined to be removed from the gene pool and the XP was the instrument of destiny.

Just to make the day better, we saw three coyotes and got a long shot at one. Didn't think about taking my call with me or, we might have had a better day. Next time I'll remember the calls.
