Had a good first day of ML Season Saturday. She's not a monster buck, but she'll make some nice jerky!

Dropped this Doe with a 320 gr. Cast Bullet. Punched a clean 1/2" sized hole through my doe from the CVA Optima V2 pistol using 70 grains of Tripple 7. It went through two shoulders, both lungs, and busted two ribs that busted the spine all up. It was crazy how much damage was done. Dropped in her tracks with no tracking needed. Gotta love that. Range was about 35 yards.

Well done, congrats! Those CVA?s are some great bargain pistols.

I LIKE BIG HOLES, IN GAME, EXCELLENT.

"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

Very nice. Big holes in the right place makes the tracking easy. None needed!

Good gun, good load, good hunt, good shot, and a good deer- I'd say there is nothing wrong with that.

Thanks guys, after seeing two bucks that day and not getting a shot, I thought it was going to be a wash until she stepped out at last light. After hunting hard all archery season with many encounters with bucks and bears, but no good shots, I was extremely happy to put some meat in the freezer.

Good job! I bought a CVA Optima ML pistol last year and scored on a doe in the early season. Wasn't as lucky this year but it opens again in mid December so I might get a chance then. Nice doe and good shooting.
