Just picked up a 6.5X55 Encore barrel and was wondering if any one has load data and what velocity you're getting?
Thanks in advance, Ralph

This barrel is my personal favorite. And seems to like everything I put into it. I do reload, but shortly after I bought this barrel, Speer discontinued their Nitrex line of ammo and I was able to pick-up a case of 6.5 Swede at a really good price, basically for the price of the brass. I still have many years of this ammo left so I won't be reloading anytime soon.

I know this post didn't help you, but I wanted to say congrats on the Swede and good shooting, its a dandy and I hope you like your as much as I like mine.

6.5x55 Swede.....and that's all I nede.

I've also got a 15" Encore barrel in 6.5x55 and it also seems to like just about everything I've fed it.

For a target load I'm loading 47.0grs of H4831SC under a Sierra 120gr HPBT Match......100yd groups cloverleaf.

For hunting I'm loading 42.5grs of RL22 under a Hornady 129gr.....again groups under 1" are pretty much common place.

The Swede is a excellent round....it's mild on recoil, delivers tack driving accuracy and is deadly on game.
