WANT TO SAVE MY FEDERAL 150 PRIMERS UNTIL THINGS SETTLE DOWN. I HAVE A BUNCH OF WINCHESTER WLP PRIMERS THAT ARE FOR MAGNUM AND STANDARD LOADS. I HAVE NOT DRUNK THE "KOOLAID" AND DO NOT USE THEM FOR MAGNUM 296 TYPE LOADS. WAS WONDERING IF THE WLP's ARE OK WITH UNIQUE IN 45 COLT LOADS, OR IF THEY MIGHT BE TOO HOT. I USUALLY LOAD 9 - 10grs OF UNIQUE UNDER 250 - 26Ogr BULLETS FOR USE IN S&W REVOLVERS. BASED UPON YOUR EXPERIENCES WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

I have used them with Unique. The load of 9grs is fine and I would shoot it out of my Colt SAA.

I use WLP exclusively in all my straight wall cartridges that require a large primer - from Unique thru H110. I have no issues with any, but your mileage may vary.

I use them with Unique all the time, Rey, without any noticeable difference that I can see from the CCI's I use. I also run 10grs/255's in my 45 Colts.

I use them for 2400

They should be really good with that combo --I would expect the Unique to be a bit position sensitive in that case.

H2OBUG: I HAD STAYED AWAY FROM UNIQUE IN THE 45 COLT FOR DECADES BECAUSE OF MY IMAGINED CONCERNS OVER THE LEFT OVER EMPTY SPACE IN THE CASE/POWDER POSITION SENSITIVITY BUT TO MY SURPRISE UNIQUE WORKS VERY WELL IN MY S&W 45 COLT LOADS.
