Thinking of buying my first semi-auto for deer hunting, I am seriously considering the Ruger SR1911 in 10mm. What are you fellas opinion on this pistol and does anyone make an optics mount for it...thanks!

If anybody makes a reflex sight mount for the Ruger SR1911, it would be EGW. They make mounts for the Novak rear sight cut, which is what I think the Ruger has. I have no experience with the SR1911, but reports have been generally good.

I have a 45 and a 9mm with the Wegland rail mount and a cocking lever where the rear sight was.

I really like this setup mine have 25mm Trophy dots on them.

You could use a scope but I like the dot on the 1911

The 9mm is bad ass on plates

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.
