Probably my last run on the mulberry tree. Found coons in it this morning, they will probably have it stripped of fruit by the end of the week.

Well that's one better than me. I live right next to a conservation area that is shotgun only so I have to wait until they cross the fence. Went two for two, one being a 20 yard offhand shot to the head. Missed the third one twice, I was using the 617 and the red dot can get a lot of glare late in the evening (a poor excuse is better than none isn't it).

I would be lost if our squirrel season didnt run basically all year, there is nothing else to hunt this time of year except groundhogs and they are far apart and few between.

We have a spring season, but in the creek bottoms the mosquitoes are as big as buzzards, the rattlers look like logs, and the catfish are biting so I can?t make myself squirrel hunt....😊

There is a small creek I have to cross to get to this mulberry tree, first day I went I saw a water moccasin about 6' long and as big around as a baseball bat. He got four doses of lead from the Single Six Bisley.
