Looks like it's going to shoot. I haven't got to fool with it in 6 months. If I can get caught up a bit more I will get it done. I looks like it is going to achieve what it was built for.

I've heard nothing but great things about the 460 Rowland cartridge, and to me, Speer bullets are are GREAT combination of bonding and affordability.

Only what it is pointed at. Recoil ins't bad. Maybe like a 41 magnum.

I have my S&W 625 chambered for the 460 Rowland. I have not worked with it in several years. It takes the 45acp up a worthwhile amount. I had planned on doing a lot of load development, however I always have other projects to work with. You will like it.

I got it mostly finished this weekend. In a nutshell:
ACP cylinder re-chambered to .460 Rowland by Clark
Belt mountain base pin
Powers free spin Pawl
Wolf trigger spring
Super black hawk hammer
Some action clean up but will re-do after it gets broke in.

I was going to turn it into a Bisley but I like the current set up using the SBH hammer pretty good.

I guess if I had a Bowen sight on it a nice set of grips I would call it good. Looks like it is really going to shoot.

I really like this, and the general idea has floated around between my ears before. However, the practical side of me gets in the way by reminding me that my SBH Bisley in .454 can be loaded down to .460 Rowland levels (most of my loads are around this level anyway) and the gun isn?t that much larger. Also I can pick up a conversion kit for my Kimber for a bit less money to play around with the round.

Keep the updates coming, I love these types of projects!
