Earlier this year, Ruger released a new handgun to the market, the Ruger 57:


It's the few pistols on the market chambered in the FN 5.7x28mm round. I like the looks of it, but I imagine it's rather large for a carry piece. With adjustable iron sights or a small red dot sight, I could imagine it making a decent short-range varmint pistol.

ammo is hard to get and expensive- however there isnt hardly any recoil in the FN that i shot. I dont think it is going to be as bad to pack as what the pic makes it look.

I have fired one. Very light weight, no recoil, and LOUD!!! Throws brass a country mile. 100% reliable and very accurate.
