Hi. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with the Rem 700 Chassis Pistol. The 308 looks interesting to me. The weight on these is over 6 pounds. Looking at this vs a 243 CVA Scout.

You can do a lot more with the Remington (costs more too), but the Scout are typically shooting good, and the price is good.
Depends on what you want and your budget

I?d go CVA Scout in 6.5 CM.
About 1/3 the price of the Remington with a more useful barrel length.

If you want to go the Remington route, I?d probably build instead.

I was mostly curious on how the Rem handles and shoots. I would probably go with a CVA if I decide to get one. I can't hunt with either here in IL other than coyotes. I already load for the 308 and 243, that is why I omitted the 6.5cm.
