It has been fun to follow your restoration of the "rust bucket" to the final result on a beautiful buck. Great project.

Turned out to be a good project test. Congrats on the nice buck. I run 129 Hornadys and H4350 in my .260 MGM 12".

Thanks fellers! I can't resist rejuvenating neglected guns. Very satisfying when you get to use them.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Nice work on the gun and the buck! Congrats! What kind of velocity are you getting with that 140 grain PT?

That was a long story with a very happy ending. Congratulations on bringing that frame back to life and on an outstanding buck!

Nice work on the gun and the buck! Congrats! What kind of velocity are you getting with that 140 grain PT? Just over 2400fps. I can go hotter but that works out to 1000ftlbs at 350 yards which is farther than I can shoot in the current hunting spot. This load is so accurate I can make precision shots as far as I can shoot. Dropping to 125gr Partitions lets me go to right at 2700fps if needed. This barrel is a 1:8 so the 140s are a perfect match.

Fantastic job on bringing that frame back from the brink of a write-off, and on putting it to good use!
