Last Saturday, I killed my first deer with the 7mm-08 barrel I got for my T/C Pro Hunter. I was using my reloads of 120gr Speer Hot Cor bullets over IMR 4350. I shot him at about 45 yards and he ran about 15 yards then piled up. I've missed a few times with this pistol so it was good to get redemption. Also, as an aside, I believe in always smiling when taking pictures with game I've harvested. I feel it conveys gratitude.

love my 7-08. I am sure you will get comfy with yours now that the funk is knocked off of it. Congrats on a great buck and there is no reason to apologize for smiling. Every harvest should make you happy if it is on purpose and for the right reason.

Way to go! That looks like a typical Hill Country deer and terrain. Better shoot some more, we have way too many!

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Congrats. Any game harvested with a handgun gives reason to smile.

Well done! I?ve owned a few 7mm-08 firearms. A handgun and a rifle. I just can?t seem to warm up to the cartridge. No detraction from your performance and success. Just a side note that I can?t really seem to uncover the reason. Maybe I?ve just not found the right one.
