I have used the Bulter Creek flip open scope covers on all my rifle scopes. I really feel safe and secure with these for max protection and quick opening.
But thats on a rifle hold, not a pistol.

Thinking about a set on my Burris 3-9x32 for my 7.08 Encore set up.
Just wondering if anyone else uses these scope covers on there rigs?
I really have not noticed anyone using them...

Thanks,
Shawn

I have the butler creek flip up's and wouldn't be without them. Helps alot to keep rain/snow off lens and dust.

I tried a set of the Blizzard See-Through covers on my new Burriw 2x7 last Oct while Antelope hunting in WY. I knew I would crawling around in the dirt and all and didn't want to scratch the lens. Worked great. Didn't have to worry about carrying a lens cleaner around. After returning I got two more sets for both of my 3x12 Burris scopes. They are great. I just cringe thinking about rubbing a lens with tissue or worse getting a scratch hauling them around.
I would try them. If you don't like them, you could sell them on here real quick.

Between all my pistol and rifle scopes I have about 20 sets. Never go out without them, never regretted buying them.

Bought a set of Butler Creek covers last fall and used them extensively on my long gun. Loved 'em and am definitely planning to buy another set for my soon-to-purchase hunting handgun.

My only complaint/request is that the covers aren't made of see through material. I'd at least like the option of making a quick shot without having to flip them up, even if it wasn't quite as crisp a sight picture as with them up. Guess I need to investigate see through work-a-likes.

Butler Creek makes the blizzard caps which are see-thru in clear or amber and Quake industries makes caps called Bushwacker which are also see-thru clear or amber and the rubber is softer and stretches over the scope ends than the Butler creek caps. They hold in place really well. Price is about the same.
