Do any of you hunt with a 10mm handgun, auto or revolver? I just picked up a new Glock 20 Gen 4, 10mm and have been testing about 6 different types of ammo for hunting whitetail and pigs at close range, out to 50 yards where I will be hunting.
So far the Barnes Vortex 150 grn XPB shoots the best group at 25 yards. I'm getting 2" at this distance for five shots. Next is the Underwood Honey Badger 150. The last group with it was 2.5" at 25 yards. All of these are resting on my range bag.
Some ammo I want to try is very hard to find. Federal Fusion 180's are on back order and hope to have some of them soon.

I've taken a few good size hogs with 180 xtp over bluedot with a delta elite. Use the same load for a ccw glock 20 when out west.

The 180XTP works fine. Using one of my handloads that gets the 180s a bit over 1300fps it kills deer just fine. If you handload the 165 gold dot and the 165 Sierra both work well. The 200gr XTP loaded just under max with Ram Shot True Blue will shoot ragged holes at 25 yards. The bullet seem to open up a bit quicker than the 180gr XTP. The 200gr load I am shooting chronied 1182fps. Here is a 180gr XTP removed from the offside shoulder of a doe shot at 71 yards.

Milk jugs of water at 25 yards from a 4" S&W 610. All were loaded over 9gr's of Longshot, did not have a chrono at the time.

Neck shot at 25-30 yards, and exit wound at the shoulder, no clue how it traveled that path.

But it dropped her in her tracks, can fast forward to the shot at about 1:50

I have a Glock 20 and a Ruger Super Redhawk in 10mm with the 6.5" barrel. I shot a doe a few years ago with the SRH and it dropped her in her tracks. I was using the Underwood 220gr Hardcast loads and I believe the distance was 22 yards.
