So this showed up a few days ago. Next build. 45 Super long slide on a brand new G21SF frame. 6.02" Storm Lake barrel. I haven't decided on the trigger yet. If it's like the rest of them it will be a real shooter. To put together a perfect trigger takes about two Texas 10s. I'm not sure I want an under 2lbs trigger on this one. We will see. Everything I wish I had done on my first 45 Super will happen on this one. Long slide that is heavy as well. Running a 22lb spring it will be much more relaxed than my first attempt. It is getting adjustable fire sights.

Just got the 45 Super shootable. It needs about 100 break in shots then the fun begins. Trigger and action job. Here is what it takes to get it to this level:
Brand new G21SF gen 3 frame.
Storm Lake 6.02" match grade minimum chamber spec barrel.
24lb flat spring on SS captive guide rod.
Of course all the small parts. Take note of the striker spring cups. The parts kit came with the marine type (under water) white cups. Never use these in a gun like this unless you want a parts failure in 200 or so shots. The extensions will wear off quickly. We aren't trying to be scuba diving secret agents. We hunt with these things.
This one got Williams adjustable fire sights. I have found them to be very good in low light.
The magazine will get an extra effort spring. I also like to put billet aluminum bases on the mags with the stronger springs. I have seen heavy mag springs wreck glock bases.
Now to load some ammo for the beast.

I recall about 9 or 10 years back you used the SiderLock trigger saftey on your G21, don't see that on the Glocks in S&W40 caliber I've seen lately. any particular reason you no longer use the SiderLock?

I have been experimenting constantly with triggers. On that gun the sidelock is actually a good option. On the .460 the slide velocity causes a near violent trigger reset. If you try to put a light trigger in the Rowland you will end up with a sore finger. Do to the nature of the way the .460 Rowland is carried the siderlock gives me a touch of insurance from having an unwanted situation. It actually works quite well for that gun.

Looks good, the 45 Super is a beast. I shot and loaded for it quite a bit in a G21 Gen4 with KKM 4 port barrel, most of the upper end loads needed the comp. Had the barrels freebore extended just enough so that I could load 45 Colt bullets (250-300gr) at the 1.26-1.27" OAL. Yours should shoot good, it was easy to get 800-900+ ft-lb loads with 250gr+ bullets.
