It is a beast. Very accurate and runs like a sewing machine.

Any ballistics data?

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

That should be impressive. Will that set up support the 460 Roland?
The Glock design will soak up quite a bit of recoil without breaking things.
I am a huge fan of the after market frames. I like the grip shape and texture of the ones I have had in my hand.
What are the plans for ammunition?

The ammo is available from Buffalo Bore and Underwood. I have shot both and both are reliable and accurate. I handload for the .45 Super as well. This gun wont handle the Rowland but I have a .460 Rowland for that task. The nice thing about this one is it will shoot 45 ACP for practice ammo. Actually 45 ACP +P is is fine on deer but the super gains about 30 yards of useable power.

Ballistics for this gun with its 6" barrel are as follows
255gr RNFP cast 1117fps I wouldn't hesitate to use this as bear defense.
230 grain XTP and Gold Dot both run right at 1140fps This load expands the 230grs where as the 45 ACP sometimes fails to do so.
185 grain Nosler Sporting bullet run 1400fps Note: this bullet through the ribs on deer is super impressive. Blow the lungs up like a big gun.

How did you set the Super Up?
What did you end up using for a Recoil Spring/Guide?
Did you install a Shock Buffer?
Did you do anything special to this build?

The G20 10mm has pretty much ended up being the Glock to use for Bear Defense as well as hunting. Your build should give a G20 some competition in the hunting field. I have had a 10mm, but not in a Glock. Mine was a 610 S&W Revolver. I carried the 610 for years as a Deputy Sheriff. All of my gun battles were with deer hit by cars. Hot 10mm worked much better on deer than the 40 S&W. Most of the Sage Troopers kept their old 357 Magnum 686 S&W in the patrol car for deer as well. I also had a 625 S&W Revolver factory chambered in 45acp. I had it rechambered to 460 Rowland. I could have loaded 45 Supers fast enough to be happy, however I also own a Colt 1911 that I did not want to hurt by shooting the wrong ammo in it. That is my only concern with with the 45 Super. Making sure that the ammunition does not get in something not designed to take it.
Keep us posted on your project.

I have a G20 as well as the super. In ballistic testing the 45 Super leaves bigger holes and does more damage. I like them both. The gun is intended for hunting deer and hogs so as long as we are talking about thin skinned game the .45 Super wins.
The gun is built with one of the old discontinued "Heavy" slides. 5oz heavier than a G41 slide and you can tell it. With the 6" barrel and a 24lbs spring the slide is slowed down drastically. I have tried buffers in Glocks but they destroy them. I am sure you know that the exit from the 6" barrel being later coupled with the Heavy and the spring completely prevents frame battering. If I build another one it will be on a G21 with a KKM barrel and comp.
I have a G21 converted to .460 Rowland. It is a whole different ball of wax. Really fun gun.

Hi Reflex. Another great build and looks like its ideal for the purpose. When you said "one of the old discontinued "Heavy" slides' what were you referring to? Was it a Lone Wolf long slide or some other brand, and did they make the long slide in both a standard and heavy version? (I know its a bit academic now they've been discontinued.) Any other companies now making long slides, or heavy weight standard length slides?

These slides are different that the slide they are building now. They are 5oz heavier and were discontinued at least 5 years ago. It was way before Glock brought out the model 41. I don't think they built a 21 slide in the heavy weight. Lone Wolf is building a Gen 4 G41 slide but it isn't a heavy slide. It would work for a 45 Super with a Barsto extended G41 ported barrel. Here is a link to the slide: https://lonewolfdist.com/alphawolf-slide-g41-45acp-gen4-replacement/
