Anyon using a Timney trigger on a Glock?

I recently installed the Timney Alpha trigger on a Glock 34 Gen 3. I really like the trigger pull. Smooth and light, makes shooting tight groups easy. However: since installing it I have had a few 'light strike' failures. I'm still investigating the cause. It may be a bad batch of primers (or maybe I grabbed the SR Mag primer box by mistake). I also found that my crimp die had gone out of adjustment (way too tight a crimp) resulting in the case not headspacing properly. I will be rectifying those issues and testing as soon as weather allows.

I have installed several of them. No issues. 3lbs trigger that breaks as clean as a Glock can.

A quick update on my "light strike" situation.

My Glock is approx 20 years old and has been my primary competition handgun for all of that time. Given an annual ammo expenditure of approximately 1-3000 rounds per year, that means it ha fired between 20,000 to 60,000 rounds of 9mm. The striker spring, firing pin spacer sleeve and channel liner were still the original ones. On examination the sleeve and liner appeared to have worn. The striker spring also appeared to have lost a bit tension. I've now replaced them with new OEM Glock parts. When examined side by side, there was a considerable difference in tension between the old spring and the new spring.

I've now put a bit over 200 rounds through the Glock (still with the Timney trigger) since updating the parts. None resulted in light strikes. I suspect that the trigger functions perfectly and that the light strikes were the result of old and tired parts. I believe it was just a coincidence of timing that the failures occurred at the same time as the new trigger was fitted.

Yep. I have had zero probelms so far.

A quick update. I've fired a further 300 rounds through the Glock. This means a total of 500 rounds without any 'light strikes' since replacing the striker spring and channel liners. I'm now quite confident that the earlier 'light strikes' were caused by an age weakened striker spring and not by the Timney Alpha trigger. Everything is working reliably and the clean breaking 3lbs trigger is a joy to use.

I bought an aluminum flat black trigger from Apex International for use on my M&P 2.0 10mm and bought one that was for M&P 2.0 45 Auto, 9mm, and 40 S&W as none was made by Apex for the M&P 2.0 10mm at the time. Took the part to my local gunsmith to be installed on mine. He said it was not made for the 10mm because the 10mm frame is larger. But he said they could do it and so they went ahead. It is for duty so it was not real light. But it replaced the flat plastic trigger that came with it with an aluminum trigger so I am satisfied.
