Any of you guys ever had any dealings with these folks? HPG I sent them a barrel, 15" 240 Weatherby full bull Encore barrel over a year ago and I last heard from them in August. They said it would be 2 weeks and then nothing. They won't answer my emails or phone messages.

Anybody close to Hamilton, Montana that can drop in and ask about my barrel?

I'd really like the little Weatherby barrel back, it was one of my favs. I was thinking of driving up there for my summer vacation, but, honestly, it would cost way more in gas to get there and back than the barrel is worth.

Any ideas?

I don't usually go around bashing another fellas business, but I need options here and this is a last resort.

talked to them last week about a muzzle brake, it did take several calls to get someone to answer though. from your experience, looks like I will take my business elsewhere.

I finally talked to Keith at HPG. He sang a sad song about new equipment problems and missing workers. He appoligized for the year + he's had my barrel. He admitted that he hadn't even started the job. He said that he'd have it done in two weeks and if not to call him again.

I'm not holding my breath.

Oh well, this is progress.

Keep you fingers crossed that I'll ever see this barrel again.

If u're in Montana get ahold of Kirby Allen of Allen's Precision Shooting (Ft. Shaw). He did my XP 7-270 WSM which is SWEEEETTT! He knows more about accuracy shooting than i ever dreamed about. He's become one of the go-to-guys at longrangehunting.com. He's in collaboration with Richard Graves at Wildcat Bullets with his Allen Magnums.

Just go to www.longrangehunting.com and ask for Fiftydriver.

Tell him Steve and Ernie sent ya'.
