I was not pitchin'em, flippin'em or tossin'em.....however I was explodin'em!!

Was doing some scouting for spring turkey season and decided to tote ol'yeller...the yellow stocked XP-100 in .222 Remmy. Groundhogs are also in season so that was my "reason" for takin' along my favorite specialty handgun! Saw some promising turkey sign and decided it was time to turn my attention to finding targets of oppurtunity. I did see several groundhogs but all were too close for a shot...under 100 yards. Also saw a nice red fox at around 200yds but alas...he's out of season!

I eventually found myself on my favorite grassy knoll...where I took two deer at long range and my 229yd hen turkey in the fall season. Scattered across the pasture below were lots of fresh cow deposits!! After some uneventful waiting I decided to see what a 50gr V-Max at 3000fps would do to a cow terd...ranged one at 182 yards, held over a skosh and let'er rip.......bang-whop! Not the redmist that varminters love to see...rather a "brown mist"...hehe!! Picked another at 199yds.....bang-whop...this is fun! Ranged another at 323 yards...dialed in 4.2 MOA...bang--whop!! Two for two from shooting prone off a Harris Bipod (182 and 199) and one for one shooting from my Stoney Point Polecat Tripod (323yds).

The small cal's are a ball in the XP...can't wait until my 7WSM is ready...then I can do some LONG range cow terd blasting!!

That is a lot of fun. We used to shoot them with shotguns, but you have to becareful about how close you are or you'll get splattered.

Sounds like a BS story to me, or may be even just a bunch of crap! I'm not too sure, but something stinks about this story!

Hehehe!!! I thought about that but did not take the digital camera along...we shoot a lot of terds on this message board but actually "shooting terds" was not a planned activity for the day....
