Hey I don't want to bad mouth anyone but.I contacted Mr. Palermo on 3/2/06 about some 500 s&w bullets. He took my info and said they would be shipped on the 9th or 10th.He charged my card on the 3/8/06.Here we are on the 30th and still no bullets. I know his site says it can take 4 weeks but he said he was shipping them on the 9th or 10th,If he just told me the truth I just would have ordered else where.Oh and by the way when you email him about buying something, you here from him in 2 days tops.On his site he asks you not to call about your order just email him as phone calls take him away from his work.I emailed 2 weeks ago and 3weeks ago, still no response.Anybody have the same problem with this guy.

Mike...this seems odd. This is the first time I've heard anything negative about Penn. If Bob has not responded or shipped your product I'm sure there is good reason as he has always been prompt returning messages and shipping bullets. Let me know ASA you hear anything from Bob...just to make sure he has not had any health problems...he's not the healthiest looking fella. I'm sure he'll make it right with you.

my 500 180gr cast .358's were pretty slow comin a good while back last yr sometime. i had to recontact a time or two to see if/when i would get them.
also.....he committed to awarding shooters choice of 100 bullets for a postal match prize at Specialty Pistols site late last year(november i think). one of the drawing winners just now told me he never recieved them. freebies i know....but when i tell someone sumthin.....i'd produce, or let them know a reason for not.

ain't tried my bullets yet.....but hopefully they WILL shoot ok.

That seems odd. I've emailed Bob a few times and have gotten prompt responses. I hope everything is ok with him, I'm looking to buy some 38 cal casts and was gonna use him.

Mike,

How did your Penn Bullets situation turn out? I was considering placing an order, but am holding off until I hear how your situation turns out.

I'm a little lost. You say if he had told the truth about shipping time you would have ordered elsewhere. He told you he would ship the 9th or 10th, & shipping is listed @ 3-4 weeks. You said they arrived yesterday, & by my calendar that's two days short of 4 weeks from the 9th. It seems communication was poor, but what part was deceitful?

Vance in Ak,
The guy lives in the same state as me, and ships usps.If he shipped them on 3/9/06 like he said they certiantly would have been here before 4/4/06.Christ He's only a hundred and 150 something miles away.I could have walked there picked them up and walked back and saved about 2 weeks.Your missing the piont,He says if he said he was shipping them on 3/09/06.If he told me he could not cast them for 3 or 4 weeks I still would have bought them. But I would have purchassed from someone else also instead of waiting a month.

I see your point Mike. There should be a shipping date from the PO somewhere. Living in AK. & dealing with the PO it's not unusual to have things get "lost" & take a while sometimes, although normaly they do a great job. I guess living up here I've just gotten used to slow shipping at times, as anything that's shipped parcel post is 5-6 weeks. Doesn't mean I like it though.

Actually Mike, I usually get impatient & pay extra for priority mail for everything. I hate waiting!!! So I do feel your pain. I hope the new bullets work out for you & you can go burn some this weekend.
Our hunting is "good", but mostly it's just different. Hunting up here tends to be more of an expedition. Requires more time, more planning, & some type of alternate transportation if you don't want to hunt with a large crowd.
I sometimes envy you guys down there with seasons with multiple deer, hogs, black bear all in areas that can be driven to & then hiked into in a reasonable time.
Up here without a fair amount of time & money to spend the hunting isn't quite as good as some believe. It's still as good as you make it though. Hasn't been anything to hunt locally since the bears went to bed around the 1st of Nov., but they should be out in a month or so & I'll have a bait site out waiting!
