I picked up an XP-100 with a 15.5 inch Douglas barrel, H-S stock in plain grey and 284 winchester chamber. I am in the process of reloading some 120gr. Nosler BT with some BLC-2 powder. Any thoughts on other loads would be helful. Just shooting it at paper for now.

I never used 120's in my 284 Win, but I used H-4831 with 140's for a little over 10 years with a lot of success.

Was that the XP listed on gunsamerica a while back? That was a pretty good deal. I have a HS in a 284 but only shoot the 140gr BT's

Yes it is the one that was listed on gunsamerica. Looks like I need to stop on my way home and get some 140s.

I've got a 15" heavy Fox Ridge Encore barrel in 284 Winch. that is very accurate with the below load.....my best 100yd. five round group thus far is .628.


I'm loading 56.5grs. of RL-22 under 139gr Hornady SST's with CCI 250 mag. primers.
