I just ordered a PACT BBK 2 Electronic Scale 110 Volt
I have been using a rcbs bar scale and I’m not real confident in the readings. Seems moving the powder around on the pan changes the reading.

I ordered it from Midway. My last few orders have been through Cabelas. Usually Cabelas is a little cheaper but this time midway was. Midway also is much faster at shipping things! Cabelas always takes two days to get thing out the door. I ordered this from Midway at 9 am and got UPS info by 1 pm. That’s the kinda service I like.

I have been thinking about getting an electronic scale. More to the point an electronic powder system. I was looking real hard at the Lyman DPS2. When you get your scale give us a full report.

I'll bet if you send your beam scale back to RCBS and explained what it was doing they would clean and tune it for you.

My father in-law has a pact I think? Full set up scale and dispenser. I don’t like the dispenser. It’s slow and some times tricky to setup. I’m using an rcbs 4x4 I bought used. I took the powder setup off and set it up separately. I dispenser it into a tray and weight each load. This will be faster with the digi scale. Plus I can weight cases bullets and final product. Very long process with a beam. But I think your right about rcbs. There serves is second to none. They fix stuff no questions asked. They sent me a few parts I need for press and hand primer. Parts arrived in 2-3 days. No cost at all!! And I told them I bought the stuff used

I've got the Lyman 1200dps system and I love it, I just program in my loads and when it's time to load some rounds you just bring it up and hit the button and it dispenses the charge automatically.

it is not that slow but it is slower than throwing charges out of a manual dispenser (assuming you don't weigh every one). I mainly use it for rifle cartridges, I would guess that my 309 JDJ loads take about 15 seconds I don't even think my big boys (458Lott/300RUM) take a minute to dispense.

i'll have to time it next time.

i got my new scale. it work pretty well. had to put it on a bench next to the reload bench. the shaking from the press was making it change readings. i dont like the powder tray that came with it. its plastic and the static make the powder stick. i have a small alum tray from my rcbs bb that works well with it.

its very simple to calibrate. took about 15 min of reading the dos and donts and setup. not bad for the money.
