There is one of these I found for sale on the internet. Anyone have one of these barrels? Shot one?

The rebated rim gives me cause for concern; wonder how the ejector fits on the rim?

The guy selling it says it is a TC Custom Shop barrel, 15" long, with open sights.

It is a fair price and I just may buy it.

What do ya'll think?

If the price is right go for it. If the rebated rim gives trouble have it rechambered to 500 WE or 500 S&W. The 50 AE is shorter than both and the same dia. While it's at the smith have a break installed. 50 Cal project barrels don't crop up often at a good price.

i have one in a 10" ,the rim is not a problem .i found that if you push the round passed the extractor you just close the action and the extrator resets to pick up the rimm.mine shoots very well with the speer 325 gold dots.the 10" was the only bbl offered by tc,i think i paid 210 for mine in 04.i saw that one and it looks good!i think it will go for around 240-250 .mine likes aa #9 in reloads.

deadeye, yes, I did win it off ebay and it seems to me that your 10" is a more practical length for the cartridge. I may have it cut to that length. I have two boxes of Speer Gold Dot 300gr already. Long ago I had a line on a Desert Eagle 50AE and put the cart before the horse so to speak. Ammos just been sitting around for a few years. Never could bring myself to get rid of it and now I'm glad I didn't.

I'll try AA#9, thanks.

No, no 50Alaskan in my future. No need, my 300 Win Mag will handle any beast I'd be willin to take with a handgun.
