Well seeing this is a handgun HUNTING site I was wondering what everyone uses for camo while hunting?

I am a recent convert to Predator Camo and think its about the best for breaking up that outline. I am not real big on the photo-realistic stuff. I think its more for the hunters eye then the games and it way over priced. JMO
I do conceed it does work and looks good but I just cant let go of those extra pennies to pay for it. Even at Walmart prices...
I have a set of Predators Fall Grey for late season tree stand and snow hunting and a set of Spring Green for turkey and early bow seasons...

Thanks,
Shawn

I use this stuff ASAT Camo . I love it, you don't even look human when you put on the whole suit. I feel like the predator from Arnold Schwarzenager's movie.

Good question MtnMan, lots of opinions in this one.

In the cold of winter during Pa deer I like the Columbia Gallatin wool , and early spring, summer and fall I use the imported modern German 'Flecktarn' from Cheaper Than Dirt or Sportsmans Guide. You will not get a bettern for the $20-35 you will spend! A while ago I picked up a full waterproof suit (parka and bibs) for $39.00 I think it's higher now but it works.

I'm not real partial to any one brand or pattern...my jacket does not match my pants...hat does not match the gloves...etc, etc. And I'm still killing deer and turkeys!!

camo faux pax? Never! The camo has to match!! Honestly, for deer and now even turkey, I really believe any pattern can work or not work-it all depends on being still. That's why I believe legs, arms, hands and face have to be camo'd! It's what moves most when you walk and stalk!

I'm with Dan & Kyode. 'cept I don't kill much. My stuff is mixed, & if I put thought into which ones I put on, I often choose something "bushy" for a lower & a pine needle pattern for an upper. Underbrush & spruce tyrees in my part of AK. I'm also comfortable in solid color military wool pants & sweaters. And like Kyode, I find I can get just as close to those not "leagle moose" in Jeans & a flannel shirt in earth tones with a check pattern.

I suppose thats also my point.
Dont need the fashion statement camo... LOL

The last deer I shot I was in blue jeans, a red plaid shirt and leather work boots and it took him at 40 yards...
Most of mine is a mix of us military issue from my USAF days, and older mossy oak and realtree stuff I accumulated over the last 10 years.
I did get a set of that Columbia Gallatin wool stuff and its nice. Took a doe at 10 yard with my long bow last fall.

It was time for some new stuff and I went with the Predator line..

Thanks,
Shawn

I use my old BDU pants and what ever shirt. Don't really match. I also have several sets of desert fatigues incase I ever decide to go coyote hunting. As for jackets, if it's raining I'll use my GorTex parka and pants, for cold weather I think my jacket is a Cabelas Dry Fleece.

I hunt on stateland in Rensselaer County NY. I look like and advertisement for the Florida orange growers association. As anyone who’s has hunted in that neck of the woods can tell you its not the deer you worry about seeing you!! When I bow hunt I wear a combination of realtree camo

Natgear has a good pattern that works from dark timber to open fields. I am not real picky though. As long as the material is quiet and not too light or dark for the terrain I am hunting. Fleece and wool are both great.
