3 shot group with one shot each by 3 different shooters on the roughly 8" dia steel gong at 300 meters with my 15" OTT 6tcu. the 6tcu with 80gr noslers will even take down 200meter rams.

last weekend was a blast........literally. we had the 2006 specialty pistols bull shoot at crittenden ky's sillywet range. a great time was had by all, although we weren't shooting an actual match, but rather enjoying knockin steel n shootin the bull. i think we had about 18 shooters in all. the shoot was thur-sun. i shot friday n saturday.

I really like my 6MM TCU Contender in a 15" VW bbl. I have used it for 1/2 sacle and Big Bore silhouette. It has the 1 in 14" twist so the groups start to open with anything above 80 Gr. It is just so accurate though that I hit the Big Bore rams on the back leg or right at the top 2" and down they go. I'll be taking mine to WY this year for the HHI Antelope hunt.

Fun caliber!!

ernie....you woulda been proud of me. i also took one of those lil chickens off the rail there(300meters) with a very very nice xp-100 in 6.5x284. it was "tnwill"'s fine piece n had a 3x12 BP scope on top. first time i looked thru n used the bp reticle. pretty dang cool n an awesome scope n gun......like you've said.

if i was rich.........i'd try an OTT barreled xp100. unfortunately my job is severely cut back for the time being n i'm just glad to be eatin

if i remember....the 6tcu is sighted in 1 1/2" high at 100 n we held at the top of the plate with my standard reticle scope. pretty flat shootin fer a 6tcu 80gr bullet imo. not often i have the chance to shoot that far out........even though it's considered "short range" fer some o you fellers in the flat lands.

Kyle...I know you said your budget is trimmed...but keep an eye out for a Striker and get it on lay-a-way. They are like a poor man's XP-100 but MUCH easier to change barrels...for us A.D.D. types! OTT can make some sweet barrels for the Striker using Savage rifle take offs! Talk about a budget handgun!! They are not as classy lookiing as the XP-100 but man can they shoot!!

Tigger can tell you how my "ugly stocked budget 22-250" shoots. 100, 200, and 300yds required no sighters to hit anything I was aiiming at. 400yds required two sighter to correct my dial-in for the warm weather...after that I hit every milk jug fired upon w/ VERY few misses.

Then "jimmylee" was spotting at 500yds when I dialed up, placed on shot just off the edge of a 8" steel plate...made a correction then proceeded to smack it!

Kyle,
You bet I'm proud of you!
I'm glad you got to shoot Tnwill's XP.
Little taste of heaven (With SP's that is)
Now you know why I enjoy mine so much. With XP's and the MOA's (and similar actions) it is typically easier to get them to shoot good.
Sorry to hear about the work situation

NICE KYODE!! Shooting out at long range is fun.

As far as buying an XP or a Striker, don't do it. It's over rated and then you realize one or two are not enough. Just another waste of hard earned money.
