Well here is the beast I have been putting together...
Its a blued Encore 300 Win Mag with SSK muzzle break (16.5" long), Blue/Black Ga Jim grip and target forend on a hanger bar, Bushnell Elite 3200 2-6x32 optics held by 3 Leupold verticle split rings...
Planning on starting out with the Federal Vital Shok 165g ballistic tips and see if the gun likes them.. (They came free with the barrel along with a 50 count of brass and a die set for reloading..)
This should make some noise in the deer woods this fall. (I hope)

Here is a shot of the muzzle break. You can see the forend is totally free floated in this pic.

Thanks,
Shawn

That's a beaut. Maybe us 300WM shooters should form our own little coalition. Sure would be fun to shoot with another 300WM pistoleire.

I was thinking of getting a 17" barrel from Fox Ridge, let me know how yours shoots.

You can run but you die tired.

I have a 16" 300 Win Mag that was built by Gary Reeder. This is a super accurate barrel( I think it is more accurate than I am)with Nosler Ballistic Tips. The only down side is the muzzle blast, WOW. Best described as an M80 going off an arms length from your face. The recoil is not an issue but I do think I get a suntan everytime I shoot it.
