anyone have a list of factory contender barrel twist rates.

I'd imagine that most are pretty well standard for a certain bore diameter. They did use a 1 in 12" (or 1 in 14") in the 30-30's w/ the narrow land/wide groove design a while back. These are the barrels that are more desireable for 30-30AI and 309JDJ rechambers than the 1 in 10" and equal land/groove configuration.

get yerself a midwayusa master catalog. they list all contender and encore twist rates on their barrels for sale.

if you need a quick reference on one in particular...i can look it up for ya n post it.

Hey Patch, EA Brown has a nice disertation on twist selection in the Accuracy barrel secion of his site. He doesn't list the current factroy twists that you're looking for though. Midway does list them as stated above.

Another good place to find factory twist rates is in the back of your Sierra loading manual. I gives TR for most makes and models of long and short guns.
