Which do you prefer on a trigger. I’m thinking of trying the graphite on my Ruger super Redhawk 44

actually you probably want neither on the trigger/sear interface. it's supposed to be free of anything to work properly and safely. if in doubt call ruger.

I have seen Graphite greases used in some tight tolerance applications. Mostly high heat, high torque exspecially in the aircraft engine industry if I were going to use either of the two I think it would be just plain oil.I agree with bisley fan if in doubt contact Ruger.

I own both factory and custom rugers as well as some S&W stuff and the only thing I lube is the contact points front and back where the cylinder contacts the frame, I use either oil or a light gun grease very sparingly, this creates a cushion during recoil reducing wear on the frame and cylinder especially in hard recoiling guns. I use Break Free powder blaster to clean the action parts thoroughly and I have never had an issue.:)
