Spent all of this past weekend putting in food plots and getting ready for deer season. I figured I needed a litle warm up with the pistols, so I descided to go after some tree rats and armadillos (possum on the half shell)

I forgot how fun it is shooting tree rats. I managed 4 before it got to dark in the woods. Possum on the half shell, now we had to scare them and make them run away or walk away from them to make it challenging. 2 day total was 7. Our gun season doesn't open until the weekend before Thanksgiving so it was fun spending the weekend at the cabin. Still have work to do on a mile and a half of road so I'm headed back down in a couple of weeks. Now all I need is some rain or I'll be looking at plowed dirt.I'm worried about the turkeys scratching for the wheat seed. I know they won't get the clover rape and chicory, but the awp rye and oats they can scratch up.
